Getting to know Henry

What do you enjoy most about working at RTD?

My passion for the financial planning profession and keen awareness about how I want to deliver financial advice, aligned me with RTD Financial. I feel very strongly that any advisor should have both a legal and ethical fiduciary duty to act at all times in the client’s best interest.

What makes you good at what you do?

As a practicing dentist, I was frequently exposed to financial advice that was sales driven. Wanting to learn more about the financial services industry, I immersed himself in financial courses at The American College in Bryn Mawr and the College for Financial Planning in Denver, earning multiple professional financial designations. This culminated with passing the CFP Board Examination in November of 1999.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received?

In any profession dealing with personal interactions and advice, whether dentistry or financial planning, I remember the quote “no one cares how much you know, until they know how much you care”. Once the client knows that you truly care about them, that is when a trusting relationship can begin.
