Our dear friend and colleague, John Hochschwender, passed away on February 23, 2019 while cross country skiing in Colorado. John was an integral part of our lives. He was a friend, mentor, leader, trusted advisor, and so much more.
As a planner, nothing was more important to John than helping his clients reach their goals and dreams. This philosophy was the basis for John joining RTD in 2001. After working independently out of West Chester, PA, John decided it was time to join a firm that shared his vision and values. RTD was looking to grow by adding experienced, highly credentialed planners who shared our core values and fiduciary approach – the match was perfect.
John’s contributions to his clients’ lives, our firm and the advancement of the financial planning profession is immeasurable. For that, we cannot thank him enough. As a Shareholder, CFO and Senior Financial Planner, John helped build RTD into what it is today: an ensemble organization where everyone works collectively toward the realization of the same goal – our clients’ success.
We are grateful for the precious time we had to work and grow with John. He made a significant impact in all our lives and will be deeply missed. We will honor his memory through our continued efforts and unrelenting passion in helping all our clients reach their goals and dreams. Without question, John would want nothing more than for us to cherish our time on this earth.
