In considering a career, Gavin was looking to blend his analytical thinking with his passion for helping people achieve their goals. After transferring to Temple with an Associate in Science in Business Administration, he heard a presentation about financial planning and knew it would be a great fit!

Gavin began his career at RTD as an Intern, joining the team full-time after his graduation from Temple University.  At Temple, Gavin earned a Bachelor of Business Administration by completing the requirements for both the CFP® Board registered Financial Planning Program and the Corporate Finance major. Gavin has also passed the examination portion of the requirements for CFP® certification. He is looking forward to sharing all he has learned to help clients achieve their financial goals!

In his free time, Gavin enjoys playing guitar, ice hockey, golf, rock climbing, and multi-day backpacking trips.

Getting to know Gavin

What do you enjoy most about working at RTD?

The people! Everyone I work with are not only top-notch professionals, but outstanding human beings who care about each other and their clients. At RTD, I know the client’s interests come first no matter what.

What makes you good at what you do?

My desire to help people and build relationships. I worked as a caddie and found satisfaction in building relationships with the members while helping them with their game. This is what drove me to work at such a client-centered firm like RTD.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received?

My ice hockey coach growing up always preached accountability. He would say that everyone is going to make mistakes, but the important part is owning it and learning from the experience.

What’s the most exciting vacation you’ve taken?

In 2021, I chose to pursue a lifelong dream of thru hiking the Appalachian Trail in lieu of attending Temple virtually. It was one of the best times of my life where I met amazing people, experienced beautiful scenery, and I learned so much about myself.
