Getting to know Gavin
What do you enjoy most about working at RTD?
The people! Everyone at the firm is both top-notch professionals and outstanding human beings. At RTD, I know the client’s interests come first, no matter what.
What makes you good at what you do?
A combination of curiosity, strategic thinking, and a genuine desire to help people. I’m always asking if there’s a better way to structure a plan, which helps me uncover creative, forward-thinking solutions tailored to each client. I thrive on helping clients understand complex financial concepts so they can make confident, informed decisions. I’m not satisfied until the client understands what we are recommending and how it can better their life.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received?
My ice hockey coach growing up always preached accountability. He would say that everyone is going to make mistakes, but the important part is owning it and learning from the experience.
What’s the most exciting vacation you’ve taken?
In 2021, I chose to pursue a lifelong dream of thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail in lieu of attending Temple virtually. It was one of the best times of my life where I met amazing people, experienced beautiful scenery, and learned so much about myself.
