You already know what matters to you. The challenging part is building and continuously living a life and plan that actually reflects it. David is a Financial Planning Associate with RTD Financial, here to help guide the way. He is deeply passionate about helping people make lifestyle financial decisions rooted in their values and aspirations – not someone else’s idea of what “success” looks like.
This very approach comes from how David was raised and how he built his career. Born and raised in South Philadelphia, David learned about deep-rooted loyalty and authenticity early – something that he brings to every client relationship. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Temple University’s Fox School of Business, then spent his early career in Big 4 consulting. But David wanted something more than the corporate track – he wanted deep relationships with people and to see his work make a real difference in individual lives.
David still lives in Philadelphia – directly across the street from his childhood home – with his fiancé Outside of work, he is usually moving for one reason or another: triathlons, camping, skiing, and the goal to run a half-marathon in every U.S. state! The same discipline shows up in how he plans with you – one intentional step at a time, towards a greater aspiration, for the long run.
Getting to know David
What do you enjoy most about working at RTD?
Three words: authenticity, competence, and care. In a world full of call centers and co-workers/advisors who’ve never met face-to-face, it is hard to feel like you are talking to an actual human anymore. RTD has proven to me that there are still businesses that truly put people first. It is one thing to say it – it is another thing entirely to live up to it the way RTD does.
What makes you good at what you do?
Bringing childhood curiosity to every conversation, I recognize that each human has a unique past that shapes the lens through which they see the world. I strive to understand each story so I can help guide people toward value-based decisions made with deliberate intention.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received?
It is hard to see the full picture while you are still in the frame.
What personal accomplishment are you most proud of?
Running the full Philadelphia Marathon twice with my best friend and fiancée.
What’s the most exciting vacation you’ve taken?
Australia and New Zealand! I was fortunate (and crazy enough) to fly over the Great Barrier Reef, hike Roy’s Peak, and skydive.
