Getting to know Donald
What do you enjoy most about working at RTD?
RTD has an extremely welcoming environment. From day one I have felt that I belonged and my coworkers make working feel a little less like work.
What makes you good at what you do?
I feel that my consistency and persistence are what contribute to my best work habits. The less you have to go back and fix mistakes, the better you can service the needs of the clients.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received?
Have fun! Growing up playing hockey at the highest level, came with a high level of stress. My father’s advice was just to have fun because that’s when we perform our best. I continue to live by this mantra and carry it over to work with my positive attitude, even during stressful times.
What’s the most exciting vacation you’ve taken?
My favorite vacation was when I travel to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic to be a part of my best friend’s wedding. To be in that beautiful environment, while witnessing my childhood best friend marry the love of his life, was something truly special that I will cherish forever.
What personal accomplishment are you most proud of?
While at Nichol’s College, I was awarded the Nichols College Community Leadership Award. Community Service has always been a big part of my life. I continue to give back by coaching ice hockey at the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation and I love every second of it.
