Mohamed Kamara

Mohamed Kamara is a Financial Analyst. Mohamed has a strong passion for finance and is highly motivated to help others in any way he can. He believes that financial literacy is paramount to ensuring that everyone has an opportunity to live free of financial stress and to achieve financial freedom. His current role involves assisting the Investment Department with reporting, trading, and monitoring investment vehicles and portfolios. He is excited to have the opportunity to assist where needed and to learn about all areas of the firm.

Prior to joining RTD in August 2021, Mohamed earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Business Management at Immaculata University. Previously, he worked in Human Resources at Philadelphia Lone Star FC which is an American professional development soccer club. In addition, Mohamed worked in the healthcare field serving people with mental health challenges.

A member of RTD’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee, Mohamed is a strong multicultural person at heart.  In addition to learning English as a teenager, he currently speaks five languages and has a relentless drive to always be learning. His experiences in life, healthcare, human resources and his studies in finance and business have positioned him with the interpersonal skills needed to succeed in his professional journey.

Mohamed was born in West Africa, Guinea and has lived in Philadelphia for over ten years before relocating to Secane, PA. He is the fifth of eleven children and the first born of his amazing mother.

His passion is soccer; favorite soccer player is Messi, and his favorite teams are Barcelona FC and Manchester United.

What do you enjoy most about working at RTD?

I can answer that in just one word: EVERYTHING. I can’t point to anything that I honestly dislike.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

A professional soccer player and an accountant.

Vive la France! J’aime Paris – I love Paris!
